Softyoga

Traditional Hatha yoga - on the softer side

Your softyoga class begins in stillness - creating mind, body and breath awareness and connection. Gentle movements emerge from this union, warming the body and preparing you for asanas (postures). These movements and postures are simple and achievable with emphasis placed on correct alignment and pure movement. Throughout the class, you will be guided to reconnect with your breath and to remain present with the sensations you are experiencing. Returning to stillness, your class will end with Savasana (Relaxation Pose) and/or a short meditation. With gentle coaching you will learn the how, when and why of practising yoga, enhancing your total health and well being.
 


 
Softyoga is an easy approach to a Hatha yoga practice that emphasises being ‘in health’ in the present moment, using a set of  positive ‘feel great now’ principles and guidelines. Through softyoga we honour, accept and celebrate our current abilities;  we reunite our mind and breath allowing us to be truly present and experience spiritual freedom. Although the physical benefits from softyoga are immense, softyoga is not primarily an exercise or stretch routine. The principles and guidelines of softyoga allow the practice to be accessible to anyone no matter their state of health or physical ability.
