Chair yoga is an amazing way for those with physical limitations to access the health benefits and joys of yoga. The chair provides stability and isolation allowing any participant to deepen their yoga experience.

By virtue of this very definition, anyone can practice yoga no matter their state of well-being, physical size or limitations or environment. The only requirement is to assess, embrace and practice within the realm of your current abilities.


Chair yoga is available to both men and women. Those who find coming onto all fours (Table Posture) or crossing their legs in traditional floor seated poses will find chair yoga allows access to the benefit of these postures without the awkwardness or perhaps pain. It is also a very accessible type of yoga for anyone with hip, knee or wrist issues. Also, those who practice traditional type hatha yoga with find that they are able to increase their body awareness and expand and develop their practice.
